Projects
The Afghan Appeal Fund has been involved in several school projects, mainly in Northern Afghanistan. In 2009 we are funding three village schools - in Nuristan Province, Bamyan Province and a refurbishment of a school in central Helmand Province which was severely damaged by the taleban. Each school will be providing an education for between 100-300 children.

In 2006/2007 we funded the reconstruction of a tented school in Kabul

In 2007/2008 we funded the build and equipment for a school in Wardak province.
Specific details of the school such as name and location are not made public due to potential security issues. We hope you understand.
Teacher training: £16,000 royalties from sales of the British Army Top Trumps were given to an organisation training teachers in Afghanistan in 2008.
Clothing collections: collections in Germany and UK have enabled us to send much needed baby, children and women’s clothing and bedding to a hospital and women’s prison in Kabul.
Medical text books: the Afghan Appeal Fund is coordinating the collection and transportion of medical text books to a training hospital in Kabul.
